Prayer request.

I come asking for prayers for my daughter -in- law and my grandson Brice. They both have been dx'd with the H1N1 flu. They did the test and it came back positive. They both have been put on Tamaflu and seem to be responding to it. Amanda is a school teacher and got this from one of her students. Brice will be 8 mos on the 17th. He's at that scary age. Please say some prayers for them to recover from this OK.

Here is Brice.

Here is Amanda.

Thank you! I will keep you posted as I know something. I talked to my son last night and they seemed to be alittle better. He hasn't gotten it yet, Thank God!! David and I had our H1N1 shot about 10 days ago. We've had our regular flu shot, the pnemonia shot and the H1N1 shot, so we should be covered. Our doctor makes sure we both are, as we are both in the high risk grouping.

Happy Veteren's Day

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

Happy Veteren's day. I will be spending it with my favorite Veteren, my sweet hubby, David, US Navy. He is off tomorrow. Let all the Veteren's and Service Men and Women know how much we love them and appreciate them. Without them, we wouldn't be the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave.

God Bless~

test results

I went to the doc yesterday and also got the results of the stomach emptying test. It showed just what we thought it would. I have gastroparesis. It's a not so fun complication of diabetes.

I also am having a lot of asthma troubles so he started me on a steroid inhaler 2x a day, along with my regular inhaler. He also gave David and I the H1N1 flu shot. He says we are high risk, so we got it. We were lucky as he only got in a few doses. There have been no side effects at all, not even a sore arm where the shot was given.

Well, it's 1:30 AM and I am still awake. I have such insomnia!! I hate it!! I take a sleeping pill and it still doesn't help, but my Dr. seems to think the gastroparesis has something to do with that.

Y'all have a great Friday!! Let me know you were here!!

God Bless~
