Happy New Year!!!

I would like to wish y'all a very Happy New Year. David and I are starting ours out sick with a cold. Not feeling very well, but grateful for the health we have and know this will pass. We are spending a quiet night at home, with the 3 furbabies and taking cold medicine. David even called off sick and he never calls off even with his COPD. It's a bad virus. I am so grateful for all my blog friends. Thanks for hanging with me this past year and hope you will hang with me again in 2010. Be safe tonight and I love you all!!!

Welcome, the newest member of our family!!!

I would like to introduce you to Bailey. She is the newest member of the Bemis Bunch furkids. We rescued her today from a lady who was going to take this beautiful dachshund to the pound. She is a 2 yr old dapple mini 5-6 lb doxie. She is so sweet and has fit right in with Baby & Bucky. She is already eating well, going outside to potty. As I write this she is laying on my lap. Just how could someone take such a sweet dog to the pound? We were not looking for another dog, but David had always said, if we found another tiny doxie, like Baby is, he'd want her. esp. if she was female.  So welcome Bailey to our family. If y'all can think of a cuter B name let me know.

Merry Christmas!!

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! We had a quiet day, just David and I and the puppies. I fixed a ham, dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, gravy, and rolls for us. The dogs enjoyed their little helping of Christmas dinner. Yes Hallie, I won't tell your weiners that. LOL..Wish I had someone we could have shared dinner with today, as I have loads of leftovers!! I do not know how to cook a holiday meal for 2.

I will leave you with a pic of my grandson Brice wishing everyone, a Happy Holiday!!! He's such a sweet, cute baby. I wish I could have been with him, but he enjoyed his gift from Nanny and Grandpa David!!

God Bless everyone!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Our 1st snowfall this winter..

EDIT:
Remember at Thanksgiving I told you Sydney's 2 front teeth were loose and then I showed you the 1st lost tooth, well she can for real sing.. "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth" LOL.
Here's Sydney with her 2 front teeth gone...LOL. Isn't she just the cutest?

End of EDIT:

Here is a pic of our 1st snowfall. It's not a lot thank goodness, like all those others are getting east of us. I am so thankful for that!! Please pray for all of them. What a bad week for that heavy a snowfall. We had one like that about 5 yrs ago and it was not fun. I was a CSM at Walmart then and it was crazy!! I feel bad for those folks. Well, just stopped in to show you our 1st snowfall.

Stay warm!!

God Bless~

Tree is finally up!!

We weren't going to put a tree up but we did. At least we will have it to look at when we eat Christmas dinner, David and I.  I am glad we have each other.
He is enough of a Christmas present for me. I love him so.

Here is the tree. It's a 4 ft. we put on a table.

I have a lot of Christmas decorations, but didn't put them out this year. It was late when we got the tree up, so just decorated the dining room table and the front door.

As you can see I love Santa Claus!! I collect them. They are all boxed up and hoping next Christmas, I will be more jolly. I am not in a bad or depressed mood, just don't have that spirit, I usually have for this time of year.

I love seeing everyone's tree's!! Please keep posting them!!!

God Bless~

Insomnia post.....

Well, it's after 3 am and here I am still awake. Oh how I hate insomnia. I have had it for years. It started back when my oldest daughter was in and out of Children's Hospital's, as a child. It's hard to sleep in a hospital and with a critically ill child. Thank God, she survived all that, but it sure took it's toll on my sleep patterns. She is 33 yrs old now and has 3 children, but here I lay, trying to sleep and can't, even with a strong sleeping pill in me, years later.

Not a lot going on here. I am not in the holiday mood. We don't even have a tree up. Not sure I will even bother, as it's just David and I. He has to work until 8:30pm, Christmas Eve. We wanted to go up to my daughter's but him getting off that late, it's not worth it, as he has to be back to work on the day after. I am glad I got 1 daughter and family here for Thanksgiving. It was a nice time. Thanksgiving has become my favorite Holiday.

I think I have a sinus infection, as my head and sinuses have been killing me and I am now coughing up some nasty looking stuff. I may be seeing my PCP this next week, if it doesn't get better. I am popping sudafed like candy...LOL.

It's been extremely cold here, as I know it has in a lot of your community's. Have I ever said how much I hate winter? Can't wait for spring already.

Here are a few pics of my very special blessings.. 1st pic is of Sydney. At Thanksgiving her 2 front teeth were very loose and I kept singing to her, "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth". Well, she lost 1 and the other will be out any day!!!

Morgan had a program at her school for Christmas and here she is for it.

They are both such sweet girl's and pretty too! I am a proud Nanny!!!

Yesterday was our grandson, Jayden's 5th birthday. Happy Birthday sweet boy!! Here is a pic of him and his little sissy, Skylin. They live in Washington State!

Here he is acting all silly..

Love those kids!!!

Well, it is now nearly 4am, and I am going to put my CPAP mask on, turn out the lights and try and sleep. I love you all!!! Hope you enjoyed my babies as much as we do.

God Bless~

Thanksgiving at our house!!!! And pics from a far!!!

Well, I finally get down to showing some Thanksgiving pics to y'all. I know I am a slacker big time and I apologize. It was a very busy time and a wonderful time also. Lots of delcious food, good family time, and loads of hugs and love. My daughter Carrie, her hubby Chad, and the 4 little munchkins, along with their 2 furry children arrived Wednesday night. I had done a lot of the repairing of foods on Tuesday night. Carrie brought in the desserts with her. I did make them some fudge and some Puppy Chow, a sweet dessert the kids love.

Before the meal.

Taylor, Carrie, Sydney, Morgan and me(Nanny).

I didn't get a lot of pics, but did get some. Here is meal time. This is Taylor and Morgan.

This is Chad, my son in law.

Here is Cooper & Sydney.

After dinner we all cleaned up the kitchen and rested. Here is Carrie with all 4 doggy's on her... LOL.

We all went to bed, as David worked until 7pm and we waited on him to eat. We got up the next morning and Carrie steam cleaned all my carpets in my house. What a great daughter she is!!!

My carpets are all clean and smelling good!!! We warmed up leftovers Friday night for supper and watched a few Christmas movies.
The next morning ,Saturday, Carrie decided she wanted to paint my kitchen and dining room. The Carolina Gamecock game was on, so during halftime Carrie and I went to Lowe's for paint. Here's Morgan and Sydney sporting their Carolina dresses.

My oldest daughter Aubrey had sent the dresses to the girl's. here is a pic of 2 of my other grand daughters, who live in Mississippi, wearing their dresses also.

This is Dominique and Briannah. Aren't they cute?

The South Carolina Gamecocks, beat the Clemson Tigers that day. YEAH!!!!!

So then the painting began...

My kitchen and dining room look marvelous!!! It needed it so bad!!!
We ordered Papa John's that night. The kids were tired of Thanksgiving food.

Here are some random pics I took.
