Happy Memorial Day!!

Memorial Day Pictures, Images and Photos

I hope everyone had a Happy Memorial Day. Ours was quiet and nice. This is the 1st one we (David & I) have had together in about 8 yrs. David is out on disability due to his COPD right now, so it was a nice quiet holiday for us. We made some homemade BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, and fruit. We let the pork cook in the crockpot and it was on so good! We have enough for several more meals.

My favorite part of summer.. Fresh fruits. Here's some watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries and blueberries. Yummy!!

We had some rain showers today. We had to run a errand and this is what we saw!! Beautiful Rainbow!!

After dinner we sat outside and look what we saw right above my head!! A Chipmunk!!! Needless to say the doxie's were wanting it bad!! It did stay safe and got away.

Here is David sitting and relaxing..My sweet hubby :)

Not only is David relaxing on the patio but some baby bird's have set up a home there, by my wisteria. I am not happy as to where the nest is, but do not have the heart to mess with it.

One last pic. My Lillie's have bloomed. Last year this only produced 1 flower. Look this year!!!

All these pics were taken with my cell phone so they are not the best.

David has a liver ultrasound tomorrow as his liver lab work was off some. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers please. The eye doc also said I am in the beginning phases of glaucoma. My numbers have been high, I also have some small cataracts. No surgery yet!! My blood sugars are doing better as my new endo switched some insulin's. 3 bottles for 1 month is $1000.00. Thank goodness for medicare and insurance. As soon as things get better with my health I hope to get a insulin pump.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am sorry it's been a while but I just have not been in the blogging mood. I read them daily, but couldn't think of anything happy to blog about. I hate to be a Debbie Downer all the time!!! LOL.

Love ya all, and let me know you were here please!!

God Bless~

What a wonderful picnic. Glad to hear about your BS being more stable. Will include no liver problems in my prayers!

I'm glad you had a good holiday weekend, Debbie Jean. That barbecue pork sounds yummy...we make ours in the crockpot, too!

Saying a prayer for you and your sweet hubby.

first and foremost, i am sending hugs to you and your darling husband. You've both gone thru so much, but you still have such a smiley outlook. you are NOT a Debbie Downer!

i love the flowers, this summer i'm going to try for my first time EVER to be a flower planter. We have to get something that the animals wont eat. Living here on Waltons mountain we have all of the critters that like that stuff!

I'm glad your sugars are better, you know what a worry wart I am. You are my twin you know xoxo

It was a super busy day here at our house, and it looks like it will be a super busy summer too.
Blessings coming your way.
