Can't sleep, what's new?

Hello peeps, been a while. I have a few tings to update on.

First, Please keep my sweet Mom in your prayers. I told you about her fall at the hair salon. She fractured her back in 2 places. Well, it is not healing, and at her age the doc feels there is not anymore than can do. She's in a lot of pain. I so hate this happened to her at her age. I was hoping she could live her life out without all that pain. Please pray that her pain will be lessened, and the breaks will soon heal. She is also almost blind with macular degeneration. I love her so and just wish I lived closer to her.

Also the rheumatologist got my lab work back, and the test that is even more sensitive than the sed rate, came back very high. He is pretty sure I have rheumatoid arthritis. I also have a bad case of osteoarthritis. My right hand has turned into a claw hand. The doc doesn't think it is RA related so I see my hand surgeon next week. They think it's nerve related. The rheumy put me on a strong anti inflammatory, as I can not take steroids which is what I need to take. He had me on one of them, but it didn't help so he started me on another one, in much higher dosage. I see him again in 8 weeks, right before Easter. Here is a pic of my hand. Not a good shot, as it is with the cell phone and not in good light. Hopefully you get the idea about my hand. I can not straighten out my little or ring fingers.

Bailey, my sweet dapple dachshund, finally got spayed on Thursday. She is doing pretty good. They said she bled pretty bad, so they are thinking she might have been coming into heat, without any of the signs yet, or maybe it could have been from all the steroids she has taken for the back problem. I am just glad we finally got her spayed, as another heat would not have been good. With all my physical troubles, dealing with that mess, is not fun. She is such a sweet and good dog. I love her to pieces!!! Her brother Bucky, and sister Baby, were worried sick about her when she was gone. They all love each other so much.

I hope everyone is doing OK. It's still winter here but not as bad as it was. We woke up to snow yesterday, but it's almost all melted now. late winter snows are not bad, They come and melt faster. I can deal with that. I hope everyone is warm, healthy and happy!!!

We still know nothing on the housing situation. One day they may just up and put us out, and we will be homeless. Let's pray that doesn't happen, and the loan modification goes through. Please pray that happens.

Well, I am closing up for the night. I love you all. Please let me know that you were here. It sure makes this old girl smile.

God Bless~

I am so sorry for all of the issues that are troubling you right now. I just lifted you and your family, especially your Mom, up in prayer. God is a great healer and in control!

I saw a quote the other day by John Ortberg that you may like. He said "Peace doesn't come from finding a lake with no storms. It comes from having Jesus in the boat."

Debbie Jean, my internet twin: Oh that hand looks so ouchy! I have a friend that had to have the tendon sheaths released (just like carpal tunnel surgery) in the palm of her hand for the same issue.

It's terrible when one health issue fights with another concerning meds needed. Hoping you get relief from the pain soon.

Praying for you and your family and your Mom. Hoping for healing. Glad you little dachshund baby got spayed she looks like such a sweet baby!!

In my state it is not easy to evict persons with disabilities. Not sure if you have talked with a lawyer, but it might be something you can investigate...I am praying like fury for the loan modification to come through!!! You are not the only person I know in the same situation. It is a sad commentary on our nation that billions are spent bailing out the banks thinking it would get to the people at the bottom and it never did. Couldn't they have thrown a few billion our way???

Dadgum, Debbie. You've had a boatload to deal with lately. Prayers for your momma and for you. I'll be curious to see what the hand surgeon has to say... it looks almost like drawing up from a nerve problem.

Hug to you from Okie land.

Helen

I'm so sorry about your pain. Boy, you have certainly had your share of 'stuff' to deal with, haven't you. I wish I could do more for you my dear. You know I love you, and I know that there will soon be a good answer to your prayers :) xoxo

Agree with Helen, you have had a boatload lately and know it makes it worse being away from your Mom.

Your hand looks just like it's cradling a mouse..computer. I wonder if we are all doing damage to our brain, hand and butt sitting at this darn thing.

No option. We need to be here for each other and we are here for you ♥

I am so terribly sorry to hear about your moms injury and your problems too.
I hate it that your mom fell and it sounds like she did what I did to my back so I know the pain she must be in and they too have done nothing for my back except pills. I will pray for you and her that you both can heal.
glad your winter is almost over and hopefully soon you can enjoy spring.
I always enjoy hearing from you and yes if I could be an officer you could too
Love
Maggie

I've seen you around and you visited my blog awhile back. I'm sorry to read all these troubles. Hope your mom is better that was a couple of months ago. And your hand? That is a mess. So sorry. Be careful with a lot of steroids that is what rotted my joints.
Your dogs are darling.
