Boy is it ever Hot in Ohio!!! It got to 102 today, according to our outside thermometer. I had a appointment at the Diabetes Hospital at 1pm, which is about 2-3 miles from my house and by the time David and I got there, we were drenched and I felt I needed another shower, and I had just taken one. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter here. I don't ever recall it being this hot, for this long in Ohio, since I have been here since 1998. Now, I LOVE summer, but this is miserable, especially for David. We don't have air conditioning in our van, as it needs fixed, so it's so hard on him, and I can't drive anymore, due to diabetes. Keep him in your prayers. A man, 52 yrs old died yesterday, close to us due to the heat. It makes you feel so bad for the soldiers fighting in the desert for our freedom, in gear in heat like this. Pray for them, and all of us who are dealing with this heatwave.
Now on to the 4th. We went up to my daughters, for a week. My son and his family also came up, and we shared the time together. We had a very good time. I didn't get any pics of the grownups, but got some of the kids.
Here is Taylor and Brice

Taylor started her 1st job that week. She is working at Sonic. She is 16. I am proud of her.
Here is Morgan.

She is 10 years old and so advanced for her age. She is in the gifted program at school. So pretty and smart!!
Here is Sydney.

She is 8 yrs old and acting all silly for Nanny.. LOL. Sweet girl.
Here is Cooper.

He is 4 yrs old and ALL BOY!! He is nonstop from "get up time", to "go to bed" time. He is growing up so fast!!!
Here is Brice, my son's little boy.

He is 2 yrs old, all boy, and looks exactly like his Daddy!! Makes me want to raise Jeremy all over again!!! He is a very good little boy, so sweet.
David loves those kids, but seems to have a special bond with Morgan. It's so sweet watching them together.

They are so alike, Both are laid back, rather be on computer, or watching TV type people...LOL
He loves those boys too, and they love their Grandpa David!!

The kids were playing around with us and got their play wigs out...LOL Here are some shots of that!! LOL
Here is me with Cooper and Sydney.

Here is David....LOL

Cooper...

Brice and Grandpa David..

Here is Morgan...

I went and bought ice cream, to fix sundae's for dessert. I figured making them would be fun, and cheaper!!! Here are the boys, Cooper and Brice eating theirs. We had enough for 2 nights of desserts!!

I guess you can see we had a WONDERFUL time. It was much needed for this Nanny to see some of the grands and get some kisses, hugs, and love to get me by to seeing them or some of the others again. Grandchildren are such gifts. They give us a reason to go on.
We will be going back up there, it's only a 2 hr trip, again at my birthday, for the annual Pemberville parade. My oldest grand daughter Taylor is marching in it. She is Head Cheerleader for her high school. David loves the parade, and that makes me smile and happy. 2 yrs ago it was HOT!!, and last year cool and raining. I hope this year, it will be somewhere inbetween.
I hope everyone is doing great! Drink plenty of fluids in this heat, wear light colored clothes and stay in AC when you can. Remember to check on the elderly neighbors, and try and be safe and cool!!
God Bless~

I have never experienced a heatwave... it sounds horrid.
As you say, everyone needs to stay cool and keep an eye on friends and neighbours.
Your grandchildren are all very cute looking.
love the wig pics so cute and fun!!!!
hope you get to see all of your grandkids soon! its hard when they are spread all over the country.
I loved all the pics but I couldn't see any of the print...too dark...you know those old diabetic eyes of mine don't work so well anymore!
hope you are getting through the heat without too much trouble. ILY...
Debbie,
Happy to hear you had a nice 4th of July with your family!! Looks like your grandchildren enjoyed having you there!! Our 4th of July Celebration was cancelled due to the devistating flooding that we are having in my area. It has not been a fun summer at all, the State Fair was even cancelled!! We are all safe, however, I have many friends that have lost their homes in this terrible tragedy, its just so sad.
On a happier note, my son graduated from high school in May and will be off to college in August!! Thats what I have to look forward too, and I'm not so sure I want too!!
Take care, and stay cool!!
Rita
Good morning...as always I love when you stop by and say hello on my blog...it always makes my day.
Not sure where I got the mason jar glass, I think my mom got it for me many, many years ago. I just love it and I love to drink ice tea in it.
Hope the weather is cooling down in your area. We are finally down into the 80's and I am hoping the really hot stuff is done.
Good to hear from you,
take care...Susan
Fun post! So enjoyed catching up with you today.
Your babies are just so cute. Isn't it wonderful to make memories like these with them
Yep the heat has really got everyone inside these days. I dread even going to the mail box or watering the flowers.
I got up two hours early this morning just so I could be outside for a little while. TOOOOOO Hot
Love
Maggie
