Our Christmas 2011

Well, Christmas 2011 is come and gone. We had a wonderful Christmas. We left on Thursday, the 22nd to go up to my daughter's house to visit with Carrie, her hubby Chad, and children, Taylor, Morgan, Sydney and Cooper. Taylor was flying out the next morning to go down to her Dad's in Charleston, SC for Christmas and I didn't want to miss her before she left. She opened her presents that night. She is 16 now, will be 17 march 1st and I can't believe how grown up she is. She got alot of clothes, etc. That's what we gave her, clothes. I didn't get any pics of her that night and sure wish I had. She is my oldest Grandchild, my 1st one, and I sure miss her when she isn't there.
On Friday, we didn't do alot. David and I were tired from getting everything packed up, wrapped, etc to get up there on time. Traveling with the 3 dogs can be a challenge also. Bucky hates to travel. The girl's do OK. So on Friday we mainly rested.
Saturday, Christmas Eve, we went to church. I so love the Christmas service that Ceder Creek church puts on in Perrysburg, Ohio. The music is beautiful, and the sermon is always great. They handed out lights and at the end of the service, we all turned on different colored lights, while we sang "Silent Night". Just brought tears to my eyes for sure.
Here is a few pics of church. We got there a hour early, just so we could get a seat.

This is inside, before the service began.
My daughter in red and her best friend Heather, in black.
David's arm, Morgan, Carrie's mother in law Joey, and Sydney
This is Cooper with the light they handed out.

After church services, Carrie and her family, went over to her Mother In Laws to open presents and have food. We were invited but decided to let them have some special Christmas time together, so we left the church and David and I stopped at Rally's and got some dinner, and went back to Carrie's to let all the dogs out and eat. We watched "A Christmas Story". It isn't Christmas unless we watch that movie. We just love it! "You'll shoot your eye out". Fra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra. The Christmas duck, etc.
While we were eating, I got a pic on my cell of my son, Jeremy, doing the family tradition of reading, "Twas the Night Before Christmas", to Brice. I am so glad he is carrying on that tradition. my children were read that every Christmas. Here is the pic of my son Jeremy and Brice. I miss them so much!

Here is also a pic of Brice with Santa Claus.
Here he is with his Jammie's on before he went to bed. His Christmas Jammie's.
He saw this shirt when he was here for Thanksgiving, and I picked it up for him, and sent it to him as a Christmas gift, along with some other things. Is this boy, handsome or what?
Here is a pic of my grandchildren in Georgia. Aren't they precious? This is Jayden, Skylin and Kayd.
Here is Jayden and Skylin baking Christmas Cookies.

OK back to my daughter's house. Christmas morning was rise and shine early as Santa Claus had arrived!!!!!! I think it was like 6:30, when Cooper got us up.
Here is Sydney with some of her things. Santa was very good to these kids.

Here is Morgan.

And here is Cooper.

David and I opened our presents from Carrie's family. I got a sweet Vera Bradley purse and some cheese cake pans. I have been wanting both for quite some time.

David got a really nice jig saw and some cologne. he was really happy!!
David and I got the girl's matching footie pajama's. Carrie has been wanting some. Carrie has had 4 children and still wears a size 14 girl's pj's! I got Chad, and Cooper matching pajama bottoms but never got a pic of them :(

Here is a pic of Carrie's tree.

Cooper is only 4 years old and lost his 1st tooth the week before Christmas. the other bottom one is loose too!!

We came home yesterday afternoon. This is the weather we had to travel in!!!
This was looking out my side window. It snowed almost all the way home, but Dayton where we live didn't get any accumulations.

As you see we had a great holiday! I sure hope each and everyone of you did too!! Now 2012 is coming on fast. Seems we just turned over to 2011. I pray that each and everyone of you have a wonderful, healthy and glorious new year!!!

God Bless~
Debbie
