Nothing is ever easy :o(

Well, we went for the sleep study last night. We get there on time. The take us to our rooms, David was across the hall from me. It's a OK room, not the Hilton by no means, and she says there's a TV but my remote is missing, so if I wanted to change channels, I'd have to do it the old timey way...LOL.. That's ok with me, I just turned it on TLC and was fine. I change into my night clothes, brush my teeth and about a hour later, she comes and gets me to attach all the wires. I told her I never even got to say good night to David and she gave us a few minutes alone in his room. Of course he was laughing at me, said I looked silly, all wired up, but I knew he'd soon look funny himself. I kiss my sweet hubby, and say goodnight and go to my room, take my sleeping pill and crawl into bed. The tech comes in attaches a few more things and says goodnight. I fall asleep in a hour or so, and at some point she announces on the intercom, for me to get on my back and sleep for a while, which, I did. I asked her if she'd come unhook me so I could go to the bathroom, she does, and I crawl once again back in the bed, and she reattaches the wires. I have no clue what time it is, but it takes me awhile to go back to sleep. Then all of a sudden, I am sound asleep, she comes running in the room, saying, Debbie, we need to rush you to the ER. I am half awake now, still sleepy from the sleeping pill, and she is pulling wires off me and puts me in a wheelchair. They ask if I would like them to wake my hubby to go with me. I said what is wrong? Apparently my heart was doing some very strange beats, which she said had been going on for awhile, but when it lasted 9 mins, she thought it best I rush to the ER. The ER hooks me all up, starts a IV, OUCH, and does a EKG and a chest XRAY on me. At this point, my heart is being good, so after all my labs come back, they call my family doc and he says I can go home, but to follow up with him. David has a appt with him in the morining, so I will tag along and see what he says. I tell you there's nothing like, being able to finally sleep, and to be woke up, so abruptly. Oh well, things usely do not go smoothly for me. I am alive and home, so I am thankful for that.

The furry children were so happy to see us. They did well, but looked at me like, Mommy, don't leave us overnight again.LOL. We will if we have to be titrated for the CPAP. We go on the 30th to find out the sleep study results.

Me all hooked up, David took this on his cell phone, so not a good pic.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday evening and Monday!!

God Bless~
Debbie

You sure do know how to liven up a sleep study with an ER trip! Hope everything turns out well for both of you.
