My birthday and the parade.

Last weekend was my birthday. Well actually Friday was, the 20th. I turned 55. Hard to believe. Time is sure going by faster than I would like. So for my birthday David took me up to my daughter Carrie's and her family's for the weekend. Carrie baked me my favorite cake for my birthday. It's devils food with a cream cheese filling and then cherry's. Yum!!!! It's been a favorite of the family's for many years. It is picked a lot for birthday's.



It was also the annual Pemberville parade that my granddaughter Taylor is in as she is a High School cheerleader. It's been so hot in Ohio and guess what happened this weekend? RAIN and COOL temps. Put that together and it's not a fun parade!!!

I have no clue how this girl's baton could stay lit with fire, with all the rain, but it did.



There was even a little wet wiener in the parade!!! LOL.

Soon the parade was over, it didn't last as long due to the weather, we left and came back to Carrie's house all wet and chilly.

While we were warming up and we cooked a Lasagne dinner, they played Rockband. It's such a neat game. My daughter really gets into it! LOL. My daughter Carrie is singing, Sydney is on the drums and Morgan is playing the guitar.

The next day, Sunday, we watched movie's and just hung around the house. Ordered Pizza for dinner. I watched 2 really sad movie's. Marley and Me, and My Sister's Keeper. Both outstanding movie's.

Monday we got up, and Carrie, Chad and I went shopping at The Hobby Lobby. I had never been and boy am I now in love with that place. I could really spend a lot of money in there if I were rich. We came back to Carrie's and David and I packed up to leave :(. We hope in the next few years when the economy gets better, we can put the house on the market and move up there. I could help with the kids more and Carrie could go to school, as she wants to become a nurse.

We of course took the furkids up with us. here they are as we opened the van door when we got home. They were glad to be home, and wanted out of the crate!! It's only a 2 hr trip, so they aren't penned up for long.



This Monday I have a appointment at the hand surgeon's office. I have very bad carpul tunnel in my left hand and also a cyst in my wrist. I had carpul tunnel surgery on my right hand about 15 yrs ago and need it on the left bad, as I have to wear a brace now, 24/7 and it aggrievates the cyst. I hope he can fix both things at once. So surgery may be in my soon future.

Tuesday I have to have another brain MRI, as I am quickly losing my peripheral vision. I saw the eye specialist on Wednesday and he ordered another brain MRI. He did another test and saw how much more I had lost in the last 2 mos. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
