Thanksgiving post.. I know...LATE!!!!!

My daughter Carrie and her family, and my son Jeremy and his family came for Thanksgiving. I was so tired and so excited, I didn't take hardly any pics, which is not like me at all. My health this year has deteriorated to the point of major forgetfulness. We had a wonderful time, but I was so tired, pics were not thought of to much. I did my best to get the house ready and all the food cooked. With just having this wrist and hand surgery and whatever I have affecting my ribs and chest, I was one worn out lady.

I did get a few pics of the table set. I set it up before everyone got there Wednesday night.

I cooked the normal things, ham, turkey, dressing, gravy, sweet potato casserole, mac and cheese, broccoli rice with cheese casserole, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, Watergate salad,& rolls. My daughter made the desserts and brought them with her. Cookies, pumpkin roll, pumpkin squares, cherry pie. The adults had a nice glass of wine with dinner and the kids had sparkling grape juice. The meal was delicious, but I couldn't eat much.

Here is a pic of the kids table. It's my kitchen table.

As I look at these photo's, I realize an electric knife was sitting on the table. The men deep fried the turkey and we were waiting of it to get finished and we had just carved the ham, that's why the knife is there. Also as you can see my daughter, the Mom to those 4 is sitting there also. As soon as the turkey came in, the knife was used and put away. No kids were harmed here...LOL.

Here is a pic of Brice in his high chair. He sat in the dining room with the adults.

There are no pics of the adults at the table. They did eat, and eat well, I must say...LOL.

On Friday the girl's made a gingerbread house, I had gotten for them to put together. Never got a pic of the finished product, but it was beautiful.

So I had 6 adults, 5 children, David and I, and 6 dogs here for Thanksgiving, and they all stayed with us. They left on Sunday. The left a very tired Nanny, but a very happy Nanny. I wouldn't change it for anything. Carrie brought her 3 dogs, as she couldn't get a sitter for them, and my 3 dogs. Here is a pic of their newest dog,
Jackson. He is a German short haired pointer. They got him from the kill shelter, as he was due to be put down. They live in the country and when their big lab, Noah died, they felt they needed another big dog for protection. Jackson is a good dog, big, but well behaved. He's so pretty. All 6 dogs got along pretty well together.

Here is how big he is. This is my daughter he is with. Of course she is a munchkin like her Mom...

I went to the doc again this week, and we still are not sure what is causing the pain in my chest, but he doesn't think it is life threathening. He thinks it is neuropathy from the diabetes. It's rare to hit there, but like he said, I am strange medical person. He changed my meds, added another new pain one and I am to see him in 3 weeks, after Christmas. We plan on going up to Carrie's for Christmas week. So it will be more like 4 weeks.

I love all the pics of everyone's Christmas decorations, but we decided not to put them up this year, since we would be out of town, weather permitting. That and the fact, I am just to tired and not feeling well enough to bother with it. I am living my Christmas, thru your blogs, for decorations, that is...LOL.

I will try to not take so long next time to update, but I just haven't felt up to it. I have many blessings in my life, my hubby, my children, my grandchildren, and all my family and friends. My blog friends are the best!!!!!!!!

God Bless~

so sorry the chest pain is still there! I was hoping it had disappeared by now. I think you are like me, you just like accumulating more ailments!!

What a beautiful table setting and such sweet grandkids. The new puppy friend is so pretty he doesn't look real! Don't overdo the holidays too much! Those big meals are a ton of work.
