Our pets

I do not think I can do anything in small amounts anymore... LOL. We have 4 dogs, and we once had 1 small fish tank. I now have two (2) 55 gallon fish tanks.. One is full of African Cichlids, and one with Goldfish and 2 Koi. I am so enjoying the fish. They are great stress reducers, that is after you and your disabled hubby put not one but 2 huge tanks up. I really believe it has to do with empty nest syndrome. I NEED things to take care of. My life seems lost without those things that need me. My kids are all grown and gone, and live away, so can't even babysit the grands. The 2 largest goldfish have been here for 3 plus years They have grown from about 1 inch to healthy 6 plus inches not including the tail. They came from my daughters pond, 3 years ago, Thanksgiving. The tank with the goldfish needs more decoration. We will do it alittle at a time. Well bought both tanks off Craigslist, so was quite cheap. When we bought the cichlid tank, they lady gave me about $200.00 worth of fish with it. I am a happy girl, with that deal!! She also gave us the stand that holds both tanks.

Here are the doggies tonight. It's late so they are sleepy...LOL. They are all in David's office, (Man Cave). Here is Baby and Izzy on the chair in there.

Here is Cookie, asleep on the floor. She has gained some good weight, has been fixed and is quite happy here.

Here is Bucky. He is sleeping under David's desk, by his feet, in a dog bed. What a hard life he has...LOL.

I know I haven't blogged since Valentine's Day, but we have been somewhat busy, and I haven't had anything to blog about. I lead a very boring life. I do read your blogs everyday although, that is when my eyes allow me.
I pray everyone is safe, well and OK. I pray daily for my blogging friends.  I love you all and very grateful for you. Leave me some love please.

God Bless~

Those fish are beautiful! Is it a lot of work to take care of two tanks? I agree, your dogs lead a very cushy life! I worry about you sweetie, I know we check in on FB once in awhile but you are in my thoughts daily. I know exactly what you are going through, I feel so alone and lonely most of the time, if it wasn't for the blog friends I have i don't know what I would do. Sometimes they are the only contact I have with the world. take care, love you lots!

two fish tanks--wowzas they take work too right? I think they are so pretty and like them for mood lighting at night, but have never had one. You scored they are a lot of money. You made me laugh about the fish and your empty nest. Peach doesn't talk about her koi anymore. Her place is full of toddlers and toys.
LOVE the dogs they are all so cute!!

Let me know if you want another large tank. Roger got one when we were in VA, moved it to IL and he's losing interest in it and it's taking up space in my dining room that I would love to put a piano in. I'll even deliver! After I convince him that you really, REALLY need it! I think it's just too much for him to keep up with the upkeep and I'm not into fish.

oh i LOVE the term Man Cave! way to go David.

i'm not a fan of owning fish, but i do love looking at them, as they are so beautiful and graceful.

Hope all is well with you. Love you!

I am so envious of your fish tanks. I love the peace and serenity of watching the fish. Unfortunately the trailer we live in is pretty small and with Carol in her wheelchair most of the time in the house now we have to keep the pathways very clear. Thank you for sharing the pictures, though, so I can enjoy the fish vicariously through you. And, as always, I love the pictures of the furbabies.

Sweet Debbie
How in the world do you take care of such big tanks and have them looking so good on top of it. hahaha
Their really pretty. I hope by seeing these that I don't go and buy one.
I miss the one I had in my home in town but in the move it did not come with me.
I so relate with you with my kids away in Austin and me here. I do think sometimes I wish I could move closer to them but then I realize how expensive it is to move especially to Austin.
I guess we have each other. haha
Seriously blogging is a big help there and you should write anytime. Look at how boring my life is yet I feel no guilt boring you guys with it. lol
Love ya honey

I have read studies where people who have fish have lower blood pressure from just watching the fish! I believe it. And everyone knows the love we all get from dogs!! Your pics are fun!!
