This & That....

Well, I had my surgery a week ago, and boy was it a painful last week, but it's getting better.

Here I am in the pre-op room, IV in hand and playing on my phone. My surgery was a little late as the anesthesiologist called in sick. They had to find another one to handle my case. So instead of a 8am surgery, I had like a 10am surgery. My hair looks terrible. I had a barrette in it, as I am growing my bangs out, but they made me take that out and put in that little yellow kiddy tie...LOL

I walked into the operating room and they got me on the table, and started the prep. I had a block so the put this thing on my arm so it would not bleed, a tourniquet. Boy that thing was tight, and she began to scrub my hand and arm. Soon the gas doc put oxygen on me and something in my IV and sleep land I went. I woke in the recovery room, and noticed my IV was changed. I blew the other one, and there the big bandage from the surgery was and I was numb in that arm.

I thought wow, no pain...LOL. They gave me some diet coke to drink, kept me awhile, David helped me get dressed and off I went with vicoden script in hand, thinking, I won't need these but we stopped and got them, just in case. We stopped, got a bite to eat, brought it home and we ate and I fell fast asleep only to wake up to a NON NUMB arm and in mad pain!!! I took a vicoden and fell back to sleep. I slept most of Saturday and Sunday. The doc told David he did alot of nerve stuff and tendon repair along with the carpal tunnel. He told him, I'd be in alot of pain and to make me take the pain pills. I did...LOL. I went for a post-op visit on Wednesday and they took off the bandage and here is what we saw.

I thought no wonder it hurts!! They put me in a brace and I have to start physical therapy this week. They are suppose to take the stitches out this week also.

On to brighter news. David and I got a new grandson born Oct 4th. His name is Kayd Robert, and he weighed 7lbs 8ozs and was 19 inches long. His Mommy is my step daughter Stephani, her hubby Bryan and big brother Jayden and sister, Skylin. They live out in the Bremerton,Washington area, where Bryan is in the Navy.

Here is our sweet new boy.

Here he is with his big sissy. Haven't seen one of him with his big bro yet.

Kayd makes grandchild # 15 for us. Love all of them!!!

Here is a shot of Brice for you to enjoy.

One of him and his daddy, my son, Jeremy.

Here is one of Cooper. He belongs to my daughter Carrie. He ran into a board and scratched up his cute little face.

Now back to sad news. My daughter Carrie and her family lost their dog, Noah last night. He got out of the fence and got ran over. Noah was 7 yrs old, and well loved by us all. He protected those kids and that house with his life. He will be sorely missed and know he is chasing bunnies and wagging his tail over the rainbow bridge. The kids are not handling it well, Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Noah was part of the family, not just a dog. He was such a sweet and loyal dog. He was part lab. They got him at the pound when he was just a puppy.

RIP Noah. We will all miss you, and we love you!!! When we went up there he was Bucky's best friend. Bucky will miss him, next time we go up.

I hope you stayed with me thru all that. Please let me know...LOL. This has taken forever to write, as I am still mostly 1 handed.

God Bless~

Ouch!!! Hope they got this in time before permanent damage set in.

New grandbaby is beautiful!! and your other grandkids are cute too! I certainly would lose track at 15 though. I'd be calling someone someone else's name!

So sorry about the puppy dog. Hoping against hope he finds his way home again.

Oops pays to reread when The Headache is not interfering. Sorry the puppy got ran over!!! :( He's playing endless games of catch in dog heaven with three of our black labs that passed a long time ago

My bonehead headache just skipped over that sad part. I guess I just didn't want to see it.

First of all, your poor, poor hand. I had mine done but it wasn't as extensive as yours. Congrats to you for the new grandson and my heartfelt love and prayers for your dear lab. Take care of yourself and thanks for being such a great friend Love you!
