Well, what a day. I turned 53 today. How come birthday's are not as fun as when we were a child?
I had a eye appointment today. The doc found some diabetes related hemorrhages in my left eye. Not what I wanted or needed to hear. They are in my outer side vision which is good. I have to keep an eye (no pun intended) on it. If I start to notice any changes in my vision, I need to be seen soon, right away. He told me not to lose sleep over it. Yeah right! LOL. I have GOT to get these sugars under control!! I do not want to be blind, I already can hardly walk!! Have I ever said, I HATE DIABETES!!! I know there are other bad diseases also, but this is the one I have been dealt with. It's my birthday and my party and I will cry if I want to!! LOL.

You really know how to party---at the docs office ;) The whole eye thing, i'm sorry to hear that. I swear this disease is take, take, take. I relly don't know of any other chronic illness that is so devastating at so slowly taking away our quality of life. I'm with you...I hate it. Blessings for you for the coming year. Hi Debbie! And a happy birthday to you! JoJo sent me and after reading a few of your posts I know I'll be back. I hate to hear about your eye problems and I agree with JJ that diabetes is one of the most insidious diseases to deal with... there are so many ways it can cause problems for people. I, thankfully, don't have it, but I would need more fingers and toes than I have to count all my friends who are having to deal with it.
I hope, if only for today, that you can just tell it to kiss your behind side and totally focus on having a great day. We all deserve at least one day a year for ourselves... let me change that to we deserve way more than one day, but at least take this day for yourself.
