David's new ride.

Since David is a Vietnam veteran, he goes to the VA hospital for some of his medical stuff. He gets his medications, etc from them. They have been good to him. Because of his COPD, he can't walk long distances and be able to breathe, so they got him a power chair! Is that not cool? He uses a walker at work, as he stands, and does not walk a lot. The walker has a seat if he needs it. It's a nice walker, the VA also got that for him. Thank God for the VA Hospital here. They have been a God send for David. His medications are very expensive. They make it much easier for us.

He hasn't named his chair yet. Mine is "Lucy" cause she's red. I tried to get him to name it Desi or Ricky, from I love Lucy. His is black. Any ideas? His chair is also quite a bit larger than mine. We need a van to transport these chairs. Anyone got a spare? LOL

We are having a ice storm right now. I hope it doesn't get to bad. We had snow all day, although not a lot of accumulation today, but the roads, sidewalks etc are now getting icy. We are under a winter storm warning until early tomorrow morning. I am watching the news and there are a lot of wrecks out there.

Everyone stay warm, be careful, and have a great Tuesday evening.

God Bless~
Debbie

i love the idea of desi or ricky I LOVE LUCY was one of my favorite shows growing up and she is one of my favorite of all time actresses... I was born on her birthday So we are related right?

The VA here is pretty awesome too I am glad that so many vets get the help they need, My dad has a hard time dealing with them but... thankfully he has good insurance through his job but at 72 I dont know how much longer he can work.

You stay safe up there in those horrid storms...I hope a van comes along that will fill the needs :)

So happy David is being taken care of and has his chair! I have heard so many bad reports about the services of the VA so it's nice to know there are good stories as well.

Stay safe and warm!
